Luchador Olmeca award.

‘Luchador Olmeca’ is an award given out annually to a sportsman/woman that through his/her work contributed to the Mexican sport development.The winners are selected by the president of each national sport federation and related organization affiliated to CODEME (Mexican sports Confederation) to be recognized within their respective discipline.

MOST PROMINENT ATHLETE OF THE 20TH CENTURY

CONADE (National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports), together with all the Mexican Sports Federations and 185 national media granted the recognition to the most prominent Mexican athletes in the 20th century. Jorge Font received this award from the President of the Republic of Mexico, Ernesto Zedillo, on November 2000, as the Mexican water-skier of the 20th century.

International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation
At the end of each year, the IWWF (International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation) sport discipline councils select the skier of the year. In 2014 Jorge Font was named IWWF disabled athlete of the year.
